Our flu clinics are now open to ALL INDIVIDUALS, regardless of risk level.
WEEKDAY CLINICS
Beginning on October 14th, 2020 and running until November 13th, 2020 our weekday clinics will be offered between 9:00am and 4:30pm. Again these clinics are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Will be offered on Wednesday October 21st, 2020 and Wednesday October 28th, 2020 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Evening clinics are as well BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
HIGH RISK FLU CRITERIA
- Patients who are 65 years of age or older
- Children who are six months to five years of age
- Pregnant women
- Indigenous peoples
- Patients with a chronic disease
- Household contacts of the above high-risk individuals
- Healthcare and childcare workers
- Individuals who provide essential community services
Influenza (Flu) is an infection of the airways caused by the Influenza virus. The Influenza virus is HIGHLY contagious and can spread rapidly from person to person through coughing and sneezing. The virus can survive up to 48 hours on surfaces such a doorknobs, keyboards, telephones, computers, countertops etc.
Please remember to wash your hands frequently, practice good cough etiquette and receive your flu shot annually to help protect you against the Influenza virus.
