Influenza (Flu) is an infection of the airways caused by the Influenza virus.  The Influenza virus is HIGHLY contagious and can spread rapidly from person to person through coughing and sneezing.  The virus can survive up to 48 hours on surfaces such a doorknobs, keyboards, telephones, computers, countertops etc.

Please remember to wash your hands frequently, practice good cough etiquette and receive your flu shot annually to help protect you against the Influenza virus.

Many pharmacies are now offering the flu shot and are also offering the High Dose Flu injection.  You may wish to check with your pharmacy, but if you do receive your flu shot elsewhere, we would appreciate a phone call at 519-623-4200 ext. 385 or report it online so that we may update your records.
